Description
Human bocavirus (HBoV) is a virus belonging to the Parvoviridae family, which has been newly discovered to be associated with respiratory tract infections in children. Four genotypes exist: HBoV1, associated with respiratory infections, and HBoV2-4, linked to gastrointestinal infections. HBoV1 is typically found in respiratory specimens, while HBoV2-4 are more common in stool samples. PMID: 26167351 Source: PubMed Central
