Active
Description
Ultrasound is routinely used to assess gestational age, fetal weight, and weight percentile. The weight growth percentile is a comparison of the weight of the fetus to fetuses of the same gestational period in the general population. An estimated fetal weight determined by intra-uterine ultrasound that is below the 10th percentile is considered to be growth-restricted (IUGR).
