Version 2.78

Description

Furcation is bone loss, usually due to periodontal disease, which affects the area of the tooth where the roots diverge. The degree and site of furcation help guide treatment and may be used as a clinical indicator for the severity of periodontal disease and likelihood of future tooth loss.
