All requests to LOINC’s RESTful API endpoints require authentication. A valid LOINC username/password must be passed using Basic Authentication. LOINC logins are available by registering on the website.
Instead of actually sending the password as part of your request, we strongly encourage you to Base64 encode the colon-separated (username:password) string as shown on this website for inclusion in the request header.
