10.3.1 Panels and Forms File in the LOINC download

Beginning with LOINC version 2.26 (January 2009), an export of panels and forms content has been available as a separate download in the LOINC release called the LOINC Panels and Forms File. This package contains the full assessment content, including:

  1. The hierarchical structure (parent/child relationships) and panel-specific attributes
  2. An extract of the main LOINC Table for all of the terms in the set
  3. The structured answer list for each LOINC variable term in the set

This content is available from the LOINC website as part of the primary LOINC download file. Look for the PanelsAndForms directory within AccessoryFiles. See the PanelsAndFormsReadMe.txt file for more details.

10.3.2 Questionnaire resource in the LOINC Terminology Service

While not strictly required as a FHIR-based terminology service, Regenstrief publishes LOINC survey content as part of the Questionnaire resource in the LOINC Terminology Service. See the separate documentation for information regarding this API.
