Lobster is a large 10-footed, long-tailed crustacean with large claws known for their meat. The European lobster is Homarus gammarus, the American is Homarus americanus, which together account for nearly 100% of the world's commercial catch. Some allergenic determinants are shared by other members of the Crustacea group, including shrimp, crab, crayfish, and spiny lobster(langust).
