Platanus × hispanica (syn. Platanus × acerifolia and Platanus × hybrida), the London Plane or Hybrid Plane, is a tree in the genus Platanus. It is usually thought to be a hybrid of the Oriental Plane, P. orientalis, with the American Plane (American sycamore), P. occidentalis. It is found planted from southern and central Europe to western Asia, North America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, especially in urban areas.
