Pupillary distance is helpful in diagnosing conditions with accommodation, stereo visual acuity, and convergence. It is also used in eye glass fittings. PMID: 28685104 Monocular pupillary distance is the distance between the midpoint of the pupil and the midpoint of the bridge of the nose.
