14-3-3 eta protein is one isoform of seven conserved regulatory proteins (beta, gamma, epsilon, eta, sigma, Theta, and zeta). The 14-3-3η protein appears to add to the pathologic process of joint erosion and may be a marker of joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis as levels are higher in the serum of individuals with active joint disease than in those with inactive RA or psoriasis without arthritis. Change Reason
The EIA method, which was always intended to cover more than just enzyme-linked immunoassay and whose display name for the long common name has always been Immunoassay, was renamed IA in order to eliminate ambiguity about whether the method has a broader meaning than just enzyme-linked immunoassay. Likewise, EIA.rapid was renamed IA.rapid. These changes were approved by the Laboratory LOINC Committee in June 2016. Changed 'protein' to 'Ag' since 'protein' is not part of the actual name of the analyte.
