LP187098-1 NI-ICG
Non-invasive impedance cardiography (ICG) applies a constant, low-amplitude, high-frequency, alternating electrical current to the thorax and measures the corresponding voltage to detect changes in thoracic impedance. The beat-to-beat changes in impedance are used to to measure both direct and derived variables, such as stroke volume, cardiac output, systemic vascular resistance, and velocity index. PMID: 14564142
