Term Description
The appraised diagnosis of congenital rubella syndrome for the case report. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Appraisal status in the Center for Disease Control's Congenital Rubella Syndrome Case Report. Confirmed cases are clinically compatible and is laboratory-confirmed. Probable cases are not laboratory-confirmed but have at least two characteristic clinical features of Rubella disease. A possible case has some compatible findings but does not meet the criteria for a probable case. Infection only cases are those with laboratory evidence of infection but without any clinical symptoms or signs.
