Part Description
LP248352-9 Adenovirus 4
Human adenovirus (HAdV) types 3, 7, 11, 14, 16, and 21 (all species B) and type 4 (species E) are most often associated with epidemic acute respiratory illness (ARI). PMID: 23325827 There are seven recognized HAdV species (A to G) with over 50 immunologically distinct types named across species. HAdVs commonly infect children, causing diseases of the respiratory, ocular (conjunctivitis), and gastrointestinal tracts. Most infections are mild and require only treatment of symptoms, but severe and occasionally fatal infections have been reported in various populations, such as infants and immunodeficient patients. PMID: 22414179 PMID: 14560569
