Term Description

The Clinical Disease Activity Index is a measure of a patient's Rheumatoid Arthritis activity. Upper extremity joints are assessed for swelling and tenderness, and a separate score is assigned for overall number of tender joints and overall swollen joints. The final score is the sum of the tender and swollen joint scores ( LOINC 88981-6 and LOINC 88980-8) along with the scores of the Patient Global Assessment of Disease Activity LOINC 75894-6 and the Provider Global Assessment of Disease Activity LOINC 75846-6. The total score is interpreted as follows: 0.0-2.8: Remission; 2.9-10.0: Low Activity; 10.1-22.0: Moderate Activity; 22.1-76.0: High Activity. https://www.rheumatology.org/Portals/0/Files/CDAI%20Form.pdf
