Part Descriptions
LP230267-9 Dipeptidyl aminopeptidase-like protein 6
Dipeptidyl aminopeptidase-like protein 6 (DPPX) is a regulatory subunit of neuronal Kv4.2 potassium channel and is encoded by the DPPX gene. PMID: 25320100 DPPX is a type II membrane protein that binds to specific voltage-gated potassium channels and changes their biophysical characteristics. Alterations in the DPPX gene are associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis with idiopathic ventricular fibrillation. [NCBI Gene ID: 1804] IgG to DPPX is a biomarker for a frequently multifocal neurological disorder that develops insidiously, can be severe, responds to immunotherapy and is likely to relapse. Clinical symptoms associated with postive DPPX IgG include encephalopathy (with cortical, cerebellar or brainstem manifestations), myelopathy and autonomic dysfunction. PMID: 25320100

LP269367-1 CBA IFA
In cell binding assays or cell-based assays (CBA) also known as cell-based immunoassays, the DNA coding for a particular antigen is transfected into cultured cells, which are then used directly as substrate for antibody detection by immunofluorescence. The advantage of CBA IFA over conventional immunoassays is that purification and stability of the antigen is not required and they provide an in vivo substrate.
