Hyperoxaluria panel - Serum or Plasma
Active
75063-8 Glycerate [Moles/volume] in Serum or Plasma
Part Descriptions
LP15618-9 Glycerate
Glyceric acid is a natural three-carbon sugar acid. Salts and esters of glyceric acid are known as glycerates.
Several phosphate derivatives of glyceric acid, including 2-phosphoglyceric acid, 3-phosphoglyceric acid, 2,3-bisphosphoglyceric acid, and 1,3-bisphosphoglyceric acid, are important biochemical intermediates.

42502-5 Glycolate [Moles/volume] in Serum or Plasma
Part Descriptions
LP15622-1 Glycolate
Glycolic acid (GA) is a metabolite of ethylene glycol (EG) and is responsible for the primary effects of EG poisoning, which include central nervous system depression, acute renal failure, and elevated anion gap metabolic acidosis. In cases of suspected EG poisoning, EG screening should be accompanied by a confirmatory method or simultaneous measurement of GA.The preferred methods for confirming EG and GA are chromatographic. Screening can be performed in serum or urine, and serum levels of both substances should be monitored during treatment in confirmed poisoning cases. The serum GA level provides more accurate diagnostic and prognostic information than does the EG level. PMID: 11897969

15085-4 Oxalate [Moles/volume] in Serum or Plasma
Part Descriptions
LP15761-7 Oxalate
Oxalate is an organic dicarboxylate that can be found in oxalic acid, soluble salt, or insoluble salt forms. Oxalate may be consumed in certain foods, or produced within the body by the kidney, liver, epithelial, or apocrine cells. Humans cannot fully metabolize oxalate, rather bacteria within the gut must break it down. Oxalate can combine with calcium to form calcium oxalate (CaOx), which accumulates to form microcalcified crystals and kidney stones. Further studies have shown that the microcalcified crystals can lead to breast cancer or other cancerous tumors if left untreated. PMID: 26493452 ]
