Fodrin plays an important role in providing structural support to the plasma membrane, activating transmembrane proteins, cell adhesion, exocytosis, apoptosis, organ development during embryogenesis, and regulation of angiogenesis. PMID: 32601107 Antibodies to alpha-fodrin may be a marker of Sjogren's syndrome.
