75760-9 Haloperidol [Presence] in Blood or Urine by Screen method
Part Descriptions
LP16158-5 Haloperidol
Haloperidol is a dopamine antagonist of the typical antipsychotic class of medications. It is a butyrophenone derivative and has pharmacological effects similar to the phenothiazines.
Haloperidol is an older antipsychotic used in the treatment of schizophrenia and acute psychotic states and delirium. A long-acting decanoate ester is used as an injection given every four weeks to people with schizophrenia or related illnesses who have poor adherence to medication regimens and suffer frequent relapses of illness, or to overcome the drawbacks inherent to its orally administered counterpart that burst dosage increases risk or intensity of side effects. In some countries, injections of antipsychotics such as haloperidol can be ordered by a court at the request of a psychiatrist.

Part Descriptions
LP16189-0 Mesoridazine
A phenothiazine antipsychotic with effects similar to CHLORPROMAZINE.
Source: National Library of Medicine, MeSH 2006
LP16189-0 Mesoridazine
Mesoridazine (Serentil) is a piperidine neuroleptic drug belonging to the class of drugs called phenothiazines, used in the treatment of schizophrenia. It is a metabolite of thioridazine. The drug's name is derived from the methylsulfoxy and piperidine functional groups in its chemical structure. It has central antiadrenergic, antidopaminergic, antiserotonergic and weak muscarinic anticholinergic effects. Serious side effects include akathisia, tardive dyskinesia and the potentially fatal neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Mesoridazine was withdrawn from the United States market in 2004 due to dangerous side effects, namely irregular heart beat and QT-prolongation of the electrocardiogram. It currently appears to be unavailable worldwide.[Wikipedia]

75813-6 Promethazine [Presence] in Blood or Urine by Screen method
Part Descriptions
LP15006-7 Promethazine
Promethazine is a neuroleptic medication and first-generation antihistamine of the phenothiazine family. The drug has strong sedative and weak antipsychotic effects. It also reduces motion sickness and has antiemetic and anticholinergic properties. In some countries it is prescribed for insomnia when benzodiazepines are contraindicated. It is available in many countries under the brand names Phenergan, Promethegan, Romergan, Fargan, Farganesse, Prothiazine, Avomine, Atosil, Receptozine, Lergigan, and (in the UK) Sominex. Because of the potential for more severe side effects the elderly should avoid use and it is contradicted in children less than 2 years.

75770-8 Thioridazine [Presence] in Blood or Urine by Screen method
Part Descriptions
LP16290-6 Thioridazine
Thioridazine (Mellaril, Melleril, Sonapax, Thioril) is a piperidine typical antipsychotic drug of the phenothiazine drug class and was previously widely used in the treatment of schizophrenia and psychosis. Due to concerns about cardiotoxicity and retinopathy at high doses it has been withdrawn in many countries (including the UK and Australia) and in other countries it is not commonly prescribed, reserved for patients who have failed to respond to, or have contraindications for, more widely used antipsychotics. It has been tried with some success as a treatment for various psychiatric symptoms seen in patients with dementia. Thioridazine is known to kill intracellular extensively drug-resistant (XDR) Mycobacterium tuberculosis and both inhibit MRSA directly but also increase the susceptibility of MRSA to β-lactam antibiotics at clinical concentrations. It also appears to increase the efficacy of standard antimicrobial agents (even ones to which the strain in question is resistant) in treating XDR-tuberculosis (XDR-TB) via inhibiting bacterial efflux pumps.(Wikipedia)

Part Descriptions
LP16299-7 Trifluoperazine
Trifluoperazine is a conventional antipsychotic that has been used since the 1950s to treat schizophrenia. Side effects include extrapyramidal symptoms such as dystonia, akathisia, and tardive dyskinesia, as well as confusion, agitation, dry mouth, and blurred vision. Trifluoperazine causes less sedation and hypotension compared to other conventional antipsychotics. PMID: 24414883
