MICA IgG panel - Serum
Active
74346-8 MICA*001 IgG Ab [Presence] in Serum
Term Description
IgG antibodies to MICA antigens, including MICA*001, can be detected in the serum of people during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or unsuccessful organ transplants. MICA antibody testing identifies antibodies against a panel of MICA antigens using flow cytometry. MICA antibody testing using serum can be done pre and post transplantation. A positive result is an indication of sensitization to MICA antigens. This term is based on, but not exclusive to, the submitter's test kit, LIFECODES LSATM -MIC:, a Luminex® screening assay for the qualitative detection of anti-MICA IgG antibodies.
Part Descriptions
LP174482-2 MICA*001
Major histocompatibility complex class I chain-related antigen A (MICA) proteins are like HLA class I gene products. MICA has a role as a ligand for activation of receptor NKG2D. Like the HLA system, MICA molecules can elicit antibody responses during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or organ transplant rejection. A significant percentage of exposed individuals will produce anti-MICA antibodies. Presence or absence of MICA antibodies may assist clinicians in determining the survival of organ transplant patients.

This term is based on, but not exclusive to, the submitter's test kit, LIFECODES LSATM -MIC:, a Luminex® screening assay for the qualitative detection of anti-MICA IgG antibodies.

LP174470-7 MICA*008
Major histocompatibility complex class I chain-related antigen A (MICA) proteins are like HLA class I gene products. MICA has a role as a ligand for activation of receptor NKG2D. Like the HLA system, MICA molecules can elicit antibody responses during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or organ transplant rejection. A significant percentage of exposed individuals will produce anti-MICA antibodies. Presence or absence of MICA antibodies may assist clinicians in determining the survival of organ transplant patients.

74333-6 MICA*018 IgG Ab [Presence] in Serum
Term Description
IgG antibodies to MICA antigens, including MICA*018, can be detected in the serum of people during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or unsuccessful organ transplants.

74327-8 MICA*033 IgG Ab [Presence] in Serum
Term Description
IgG antibodies to MICA antigens, including MICA*033, can be detected in the serum of people during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or unsuccessful organ transplants.

- The PrThr property is used for LOINC terms whose results are reported using an ordered categorical scale, regardless of whether or not an internal threshold was used to make that determination. This change was approved by the Laboratory LOINC Committee in June 2016.

74321-1 MICA*046 IgG Ab [Presence] in Serum
Term Description
IgG antibodies to MICA antigens, including MICA*046, can be detected in the serum of people during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or unsuccessful organ transplants. MICA antibody testing identifies antibodies against a panel of MICA antigens by methods such as flow cytometry. MICA antibody testing using serum can be done pre and post transplantation. A positive result is an indication of sensitization to MICA antigens. This term is based on, but not exclusive to, the submitter's test kit, LIFECODES LSA(TM)-MIC, a Luminex® screening assay for the qualitative detection of anti-MICA IgG antibodies.
Part Descriptions
LP174527-4 MICA*046
Major histocompatibility complex class I chain-related antigen A (MICA) proteins are like HLA class I gene products. MICA has a role as a ligand for activation of receptor NKG2D. Like the HLA system, MICA molecules can elicit antibody responses during pregnancy, blood product transfusion, or organ transplant rejection. A significant percentage of exposed individuals will produce anti-MICA antibodies. Presence or absence of MICA antibodies may assist clinicians in determining the survival of organ transplant patients.
