Part Description
LP220303-4 Hepatitis C virus genotype 1 NS5b gene
Nonstructural protein 5B (NS5b) is a viral protein found in hepatitis C virus (HCV), and has the main function of replicating the HCV viral RNA by using the viral positive RNA strand as its template and catalyzing the polymerization of ribonucleoside triphosphates (rNTP). PMID: 22303022 The S282T mutation has been identified as the common variant that can confer resistance to sofosbuvir, however, this mutation is not generally present in untreated patients with HCV. PMID: 24883006
