IEEE 11073 Rosetta gas monitoring panel
Active
60874-5 Anesthetic agent.XXX Airway adaptor --during inspiration
Term Description
The IEEE 11073 Standards Committee does not distinguish between measures of gas concentration reported as partial pressures and volume percents because they are convertable under the law of gases. To make it clear that these could be reported either way, LOINC presents the property for these terms as both a volume fraction and a partial pressure, with corresponding units of %{vol} and mm[Hg], respectively.

LP15150-3 Carbon dioxide
CO2 content is a measurement of total CO2 in the blood. Most of it is in the form of bicarbonate (HCO3) controlled by the kidney. A small amount (5%) of CO2 is dissolved in the blood as insoluble carbonic acid (H2CO3). Changes in CO2 content generally relate to metabolic issues, renal function and unusual losses (diarrhea). Respiratory disease can ultimately effect CO2 content, but only slightly and only if prolonged. (Operational Medicine 2001, Arterial Blood Gas, Brookside Associates Medical Education Division)

LP101882-1 Desflurane
Desflurane (also known as Suprane) is a general anesthetic that is inhaled before and during surgical procedures in adults. This medication may also be used in conjunction with other anesthetics to maintain anesthesia for longer periods of time. Desflurane induces anesthesia by blocking calcium and sodium ion channels, thus disrupting synaptic transmission in the brain.[PubChem:42113][https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/020118s016lbl.pdf]

60877-8 Desflurane [VFr/PPres] Airway adaptor --at end expiration
Term Description
The IEEE 11073 Standards Committee does not distinguish between measures of gas concentration reported as partial pressure and volume percent because they can be converted from one to the other under the law of gases. To make it clear that these could be reported either way, LOINC presents the property for these terms as both a volume fraction and a partial pressure (VFr/PPres), with corresponding units of %{vol} and mm[Hg], respectively.
Part Descriptions
LP101882-1 Desflurane
Desflurane (also known as Suprane) is a general anesthetic that is inhaled before and during surgical procedures in adults. This medication may also be used in conjunction with other anesthetics to maintain anesthesia for longer periods of time. Desflurane induces anesthesia by blocking calcium and sodium ion channels, thus disrupting synaptic transmission in the brain.[PubChem:42113][https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/020118s016lbl.pdf]

LP100617-2 Nitrous oxide
Nitrous oxide is an inorganic inhaled anesthetic. It has the fastest onset among inhalation agents but is the least potent and therefore often requires more than 1 minimum alveolar concentration (MAC). The dosage of nitrous oxide being administered is set and monitored throughout general anesthesia. PMID: 19108597

62269-6 Isoflurane [VFr/PPres] Airway adaptor --during expiration
Term Description
The IEEE 11073 Standards Committee does not distinguish between measures of gas concentration reported as partial pressure and volume percent because they can be converted from one to the other under the law of gases. To make it clear that these could be reported either way, LOINC presents the property for these terms as both a volume fraction and a partial pressure (VFr/PPres), with corresponding units of %{vol} and mm[Hg], respectively.

LP186951-2 Nitrogen dioxide
Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) is a potentially toxic gas formed from nitrous oxide (NO) in the presence of oxygen (O2). For patients who are on a mechanical ventilator, the amount of NO2 produced in the ventilator circuit is directly proportional to the concentration of NO and O2 and inversely proportional to minute ventilation and total gas flow. NO2 monitors detect the amount of NO2 present in the circuit. PMID: 9142588

60819-0 Gastric mucosal pCO2
Term Description
Gastric mucosal partial pressure of carbon dioxide as measured by gastric tonometry.
Part Descriptions

LP76227-5 Tonometry
Intraocular pressure (IOP) is the fluid pressure inside the eye. Tonometry is the method eye care professionals use to determine the IOP. IOP is an important aspect in the evaluation of patients at risk for glaucoma. Most tonometers are calibrated to measure pressure in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
