Hong Kong Hospital Authority

The Hospital Authority is a statutory body established in Hong Kong since 1990 which it currently manages 41 public hospitals, 48 specialist outpatient clinics and 75 general outpatient clinics. As at Year 2006/2007, the Authority managed over 27,600 hospital beds. LOINC is used as a standard reference for communication of lab results among our 16 clinical laboratories. We have mapped LOINC to all reportable lab tests which is essential to our electronic patient record (ePR) system in the territory.
